The Operational Excellence Senior Specialist drives sustainable process improvements, partnering with business teams across the Area to identify, prioritize, and facilitate improvement initiatives that deliver embedded, standardized, and enhanced ways of working. The role provides end-to-end support across multiple products and functions by facilitating structured problem solving, leading improvement projects, coaching teams in internal lean methodology, and enabling the adoption of Operational Excellence methodologies. The role also identifies automation and digitalization opportunities that improve performance, reduce waste, strengthen standardization, and deliver sustainable business results.
Key responsibilities:
Partner with business teams to identify and convert business requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions with Operational Excellence priorities.
Apply and coach teams on The Maersk Way and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Facilitate A3 problem-solving initiatives and structured root cause analysis.
Lead Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives across products and functions.
Support local products and functions through Continuous Improvement projects.
Conduct process mapping, value-stream analysis, and current-state assessments.
Identify waste, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Standardize processes and promote the adoption of best practices.
Identify automation and digitalization opportunities that improve efficiency and control.
Partner with Automation Specialists to develop and deploy fit-for-purpose solutions.
Support the sustainment, governance, and verification of improvements and realized benefits.
Coach teams in Operational Excellence methodologies and build problem-solving capabilities.
Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to improve performance.
We are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations, logistics, process improvement, or a related environment, with demonstrated delivery of improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, process mapping, and structured problem solving.
Ability to manage multiple improvement projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Green Belt certification preferred.
English fluency is required
