Summary

Duties

Help

  • You will ensure the creative and innovative exploitation of operations research techniques through reports, briefing, and promulgation of analytic operating procedures.
  • You will serve as the chief analyst.
  • You will craft and execute the operations analysis directorate program research.
  • You will participate in the development of contracting strategies for Marine Corps studies.
  • You will develop training programs for civilian and military analysts and make recommendations for suitable courses for professional development
  • You will provide guidance and instruction to military and civilian analysts on technical matters pertaining to studies, and researchers and develop new techniques when existing approaches are inadequate.


Qualifications

Individual Occupational Requirements

Basic Requirements:

Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: have the technical education, training, and experience to apply and direct rigorous, technical analysis that informs decisions and be able to effectively communicate the results and implications of that analysis through reports, briefing, and promulgation of analytic operating procedures to senior leaders.
