Position Highlights:
Job Type: OR Nurse
Location: Canyon View Surgery Center
Schedule: Full-Time, M-F

Responsibilities:
Performs the perioperative nursing role including preoperative assessment of the patient, nursing care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation of the patient's response/outcome. Also evaluates the effectiveness and appropriateness of nursing care provided with documentation of such.
Assists in the set up and performance of cases by assembling equipment and supplies according to sterile technique.
Assists in the set up and performance of cases by opening sterile packs, instruments, and supplies according to sterile technique.
Prepares each patient for surgery by placing the patient in the appropriate position, preparing the patient's operative site, confirming the procedure and site according to the surgeon's history and physical and operating room team, and helping move the patient to and from the operating table.
Performs surgical counts (sponges, sharps, and instruments) and documents nursing care on legal records.
Assists in the clean-up of the operating room following surgery, including proper disposal of used supplies and sharps.
Requirements:
RN License
One (1) year of surgical experience
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
Compensation:
$38.00 - $43.70 per hour, depending on education and experience.
Bonus: $20,000 (for RN's with 2 or more years of experience, paid out over 3 years)
