Job Summary

Coordinates the administrative aspects of the Practice to ensure effective operations, exceptional patient relations, and optimal reimbursement for provided services. On behalf of the physician, acts as primary liaison with other hospital departments, referring practices and outside vendors or services. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations within the Practice environment. Optimizes the schedule to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction and productivity; gaining authorization for care as required. Codes medical records for billing, ensure completeness of documentation, and ensure proper filing, maximizing reimbursement from insurers. Researches medications and Pharmaceutical Support programs for patients as well as authorizations for oral medications. Provides leadership by working collaboratively with the office team as well as within the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications

BS Management or equivalent; 3 - 5 years of Practice Management Experience, medical terminology, knowledge of 3rd party insurance and Pharmaceutical protocols. Knowledge of Medical Manager and Microsoft Office programs necessary. Medical Billing Experience for Oncology / Hematology required. Must be detail oriented and possess excellent customer service skills.
