Plant Superintendent to join our team at our plant in
Fremont, Ohio.What you will do: - Mentor salaried supervisors and coach hourly associates to strengthen leadership capability and overall team performance.
- Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement events to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Utilize structured problem-solving methods to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure schedules are met and customer requirements are achieved.
- Monitor product quality, enforce quality systems, and ensure adherence to customer specifications.
- Support and develop employees through training, cross-training, and ongoing performance management.
- Promote and enforce a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Coordinate production activities with safety, maintenance, materials, planning, and quality to optimize resources.
- Communicate production updates, schedule changes, and procedural adjustments effectively across all shifts.
- Engage with employees regularly to address performance issues, reinforce accountability, and support high-performing teams.
- Provide direct support to the Operations Manager and assume full operational oversight when acting in their absence.
- Plan, prioritize, and direct production operations to achieve targets while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Analyze operational issues, recommend improvements, and make effective decisions to prevent downtime and improve flow.
- Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:- Bachelor's degree
- Proven understanding of and experience in a manufacturing environment (carpet molding background would be ideal).
- At least 7 years in manufacturing and 3+ years in leadership
- Tier 1 automotive experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:- Working knowledge of a unionized workforce is desired
- Able to work well in a team environment
- High sense of urgency
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication
