OSF Rehabilitation at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group is a hospital-based department that provides therapy services to inpatients and outpatients. This team consists of a fun and diverse group! We have therapists and assistants who specialize in a variety of areas including but not limited to: aquatic therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics, LSVT Big (Parkinson's disease) and other neurological diagnoses, vestibular problems, balance, and concussion management. Our occupational therapists enjoy seeing patients with orthopedic diagnosis from the shoulder to the hand, neurological diagnosis, lymphedema, pelvic floor dysfunction, and pediatric patients who may have sensory dysfunction, feeding and eating issues and developmental delay. A clinic focused on evidence-based practice, teamwork and collaboration creates a positive environment for both patients and co-workers.

OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist assists patients in the restoration of occupational function through evaluation and treatment. Performs examination and evaluation of patients' occupational and functional status including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems as they relate to functional mobility skills. Includes gathering information from the patient chart, patient and family, or other source as appropriate.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Education: Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensure/ Certification: State license. Current state driver's license for those providing Driving Evaluations. CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Other Skills/ Knowledge: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served. Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information. Analytical ability to evaluate patients' Occupational and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems. Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Experience: Previous work experience as an Occupational Therapist
