About the Role

Provide meaningful, individualized occupational therapy services for students - helping them build the functional, academic, sensory, and life skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. As a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will design and implement treatment plans, conduct evaluations, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and guide therapy services across educational settings. This role blends clinical expertise with collaboration, creativity, and a strong commitment to student growth and outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEPs and clinical needs
  • Provide direct OT services to students across school-based settings
  • Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and related service providers to support student goals and accommodations
  • Develop, update, and monitor IEP goals, including participation in annual and triennial reviews
  • Complete data collection, progress monitoring, and clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Recommend adaptive strategies, environmental modifications, and assistive equipment as needed
  • Provide consultation, training, and guidance to school staff and COTAs when applicable
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district regulations related to occupational therapy services


What We're Looking For

Required:
  • Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)

Preferred:
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings supporting children with learning, developmental, sensory, or social-emotional needs
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, special education processes, and intervention planning
  • Experience with sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive strategies
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work in a mission-driven, student-centered environment
