Pay Range: $99,355.00 - $114,766.00 per year

Job Overview:

The Occupational Therapist is a passionate, dynamic, and self-motivated professional dedicated to performing comprehensive evaluations, designing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans aimed at restoring function and enhancing skills. This full-time position operates across both acute care and out-patient areas to deliver exceptional rehabilitative care. This role ensures the highest standards of clinical service while keeping the patient at the center of all decision-making.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current New Jersey Occupational Therapist License upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:
  • Prior combined Inpatient (Acute Care) and Outpatient experience


Scheduling Requirements
  • Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)


Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for the evaluation, treatment plan design, and implementation for patients across both acute care and out-patient settings.
  • Provides treatment that includes but is not limited to: Therapeutic Exercises, ADL Training (transfers, dressing), and Patient and Family Education.
  • Arranges daily schedule as needed, takes patients at scheduled times, and exhibits flexibility with daily scheduling issues.
  • Works well with front desk staff in the scheduling of patients and makes multiple attempts to see patients when conflicts arise.
  • Enters evaluations into computer on the day it was performed and completes progress notes on same day of service.
  • Enters accurate charges for each treatment performed and maintains all documentation necessary for reimbursement.
  • Reviews and cosigns COTA notes and insures that the treatment plan determined by the occupational therapist is carried out.
  • Considers patient criticality, COTA knowledge, and experience when assigning patients to a COTA.
  • Supervises Rehabilitation Aides and volunteers in their patient related duties in compliance with legal/hospital regulations.
  • Gives timely, constructive feedback to students and reviews student documentation prior to insertion into the medical record.
  • Exhibits a desire to continue professional development while meeting NJ State continuing education requirements for licensure.
