Job Description:



Ampersand Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position during the 2026-2027 school year. The OT will evaluate students, develop individualized treatment plans, provide occupational therapy services, and collaborate with families and school teams to help students participate successfully in their educational environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive student evaluations to assess fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional performance needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor occupational therapy services in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based interventions to support student independence and participation
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting
  • Recommend and implement adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications to remove learning barriers
  • Support development of skills related to handwriting, motor coordination, sensory regulation, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Monitor and document student progress; adjust treatment plans and IEP goals as needed
  • Provide consultation and training to staff and families on strategies to support student success
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, reports, and service logs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and school-based intervention planning
