The Occupational Therapist will work at the Mackenzie Health Hospital in the (
inpatient: neuro, cardiac, surgical, medicine, ortho, rehab, ER, ICU). unit.
Full-time 18 month Maternity leave contract (Mon-Fri)- Acute Care unitResponsibilities- Conducting assessments
- Formulating goals and recommendations
- Planning and implementing client-centered, goal-directed treatment programs
Requirements- A graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy and are a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO registration)
- Recent experience in managing patients in acute/rehab or community-based rehabilitation programs is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team while supporting positive client outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of community resources is an asset
- Effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- A positive work and attendance record is essential
- Ability to adapt to new computer applications
