Occupational Therapist (Louisiana Licensed)

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and compassionate Louisiana Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and sensory-based disorders, helping them achieve greater independence and participation in daily life activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review patients' medical histories and assess their functional abilities, limitations, and needs.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
  • Confer and collaborate with physicians, families, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to address fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory processing, ADLs, and functional mobility.
  • Guide and instruct patients in performing therapeutic tasks and exercises to improve daily functioning.
  • Educate families and caregivers on home programming, positioning strategies, and carryover techniques.
  • Recommend, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment (e.g., feeding aids, splints, mobility devices).
  • Monitor patient progress, update treatment plans as needed, and prepare required documentation for physicians, payors, and insurance agencies.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with Louisiana licensure regulations, Medicaid, and insurance requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current, active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Louisiana.
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Pediatric experience preferred (if applicable to your setting).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Compensation: $40-$65 per hour, depending on experience and employment status (FT/PT/PRN/Contract).
