Build your Hand Therapy career across our Forest Hills and Astoria clinics, treating a diverse upper-extremity caseload in energetic, collaborative outpatient environments equipped for custom splinting and advanced hand rehabilitation. Work alongside experienced OTs and CHTs while receiving weekly education, one-on-one mentorship, and access to MOTIONs Hand Therapy Mentorship Program- whether you are already certified or ready to deepen your specialty expertise. Job Location: Workdays will be split between the following locations:

  • 3 days per week: 96-16 Metropolitan Avenue, Forest Hills, NY
  • 2 days per week: 23-22 30th Avenue, Astoria, NY

Responsibilities

As an OT - Hand Therapist, Youll Achieve Success By:

  • Reviewing patient medical history and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Diagnosing patients by observing movements and listening to concerns
  • Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility
  • Recording patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
Qualifications

Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist Requirements:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
  • Basic computer skills
  • CPR and first aid certification required
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)strongly preferredOR

    • CHT-eligible(minimum4,000 hours of hand therapy experienceand3 years of practice)awaiting board examination,OR

    • Level II fieldwork in hand therapy, withrelevant continuing education, and 2+ years of outpatient hand therapy experienceas alicensed OT; NO New Grads

  • Experience treating upper-extremity (UE) diagnoses, including repetitive strain injuries, arthritic conditions, nerve injuries, ligament and tendon injuries, post-surgical conditions, fractures, sprains and strains, and nerve and tendon transfers and repairs. Experience with splinting and orthotic fabrication preferred.

Compensation: $87K - $108K+ inclusive of productivity incentives, with additional compensation opportunities for certifications. Benefits include generous paid time off, medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401(K) with a 4% employer match.
