Under the general direction of the Program Manager, the Occupational Therapist provides assessment of assigned clients and develops and implements individual and group occupational therapy treatment programs. The Occupational Therapist is accountable for maintaining the Standards of Practice and Ethics of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. The Occupational Therapist will provide clinical education and experience for allied health students and will participate in formal teaching and research in conjunction with Queen's University. As a member of the clinical team, the Occupational Therapist will participate in discipline-specific and inter-professional activities that are directed towards a client-centered environment and that contribute to quality, operational efficiency, professional and program development.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate of a recognized school of Occupational Therapy
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Experience in specified area of practice preferred
  • Experience in instructing students an asset
