ELMHS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to come and join the team in the Rehabilitation Department as an Occupational Therapist! The selected candidate will provide occupational therapy support to adult clients, including treatment, documentation, work therapy training, equipment and supply management, and maintain client and workplace safety under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
  • Provides skilled Occupational Therapy services under the supervision of Licensed and Registered Occupational Therapists to early, middle, and late adult clients
  • Communicates patients' progress through weekly or monthly documentation and ensures that this documentation meets quality management standards.
  • Train and supervise assigned Work Therapy clients.
  • Complete work therapy evaluations, patient time sheets, and other paperwork associated with training and working with the patients.
  • Assist with the acquisition, maintenance, and safe use of OT supplies and equipment.
  • Ensures that the inventory of supplies is maintained within budgetary constraints.
  • Informs the OT supervisor of equipment that is damaged and/or any situation that poses a safety risk for other employees or clients.

Division: Within the Rehabilitation Department at ELMHS, Located in Jackson, LA
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional
Career Progression: This position may be filled as an Occupational Therapist 1, Occupational Therapist 2, or Occupational Therapist 3 based on experience
Compensation: This position is eligible for a Premium pay for Facility Longevity starting at $1.00 an hour (Per Hour Physically Worked)
