Responsibilities- Reports to Nurse Manager at Jesuit facility.
- Coordinates and monitors staffing levels to assure quality resident care.
- Assures adherence by nursing personnel to policies and procedures as well as compliance with federal and state regulations and standards of nursing practice.
- Actively participates in facility and nursing department quality assurance processes.
- Performs effective professional employment management per the standards of the nursing department and facility.
- Functions as the clinical resource for the facility during the shift; serves as the representative of administration during the shift; actively works to resolve customer concerns and facilitates service recovery.
- Demonstrates an ability to make quick, accurate decisions during an emergency, reflecting knowledge of infection control, emergency, safety and hazardous material policies and procedures. Provides house-wide surveillance of environmental conditions and follows through with appropriate corrective actions.
- Achieves cooperation and teamwork through effective communications and positive relationships with residents, families and staff.
- Responds to the needs of the Nursing staff for essential supplies and equipment for all units and consults with appropriate department heads to alleviate such needs.
- Responsible for managing patient care, ensuring that is appropriate and timely.
- Supervising the nursing staff - making assignments offering guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure Quality of care - Maintain high quality of care, implement changes as necessary.
- Maintain appropriate levels of inventory for proper care of the residents.
- BLS
- Knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and emergency care.
- Verbal and written communication skills required to allow for relating to the residents, and the entire healthcare team.
- Other duties within scope of job functions as assigned.
RequirementsRN License
A minimum of five (5) years of experience
MinUSD $43.72/Hr.
MaxUSD $74.70/Hr.
