Job Overview:

At Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, the Nursing Supervisor represents hospital administration and, as such, serves as the delegated agent of the hospital administrative team invested with the authority of the same on the assigned shift. Responsible for coordinating, evaluating quality and clinical practice activities throughout the medical center in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, JCAHO and NJDOH licensing standards.

As a Nursing Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:
  • Represents hospital administration and, as such, serves as the delegated agent of the hospital administrative team invested with the authority of the same on the assigned shift
  • Responsible for coordinating, evaluating quality and clinical practice activities throughout the medical center in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, JCAHO and NJDOH licensing standards
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
  • Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care
  • Taking an active role in a highly collaborative team environment where shared accountability and teamwork directly impact outcomes

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a minimum of three (3) years of acute care nursing experience, nursing experience with progressive management experience, be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor's degree in nursing, hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing, ACLS certification, and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. Prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC is strongly preferred. This position offers a full-time schedule on the night shift, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
