Description
Position Summary As a Nursing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting our team of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients recovering from various conditions, including stroke, brain injury, orthopedic injuries, and neurological disorders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Providing direct patient care: Assessing patient needs, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Supervising and mentoring nursing staff: Assigning tasks, providing ongoing feedback and development opportunities, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
- Ensuring quality and safety: Monitoring patient outcomes, identifying and addressing potential risks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality care practices.
- Promoting patient-centered care: Fostering a positive and respectful environment for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication, and advocating for patient needs.
- Participating in unit operations: Preparing schedules, managing budgets, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient patient care flow.
Requirements
Licenses or Certifications
- Current, unencumbered registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in the state where currently practicing.
- Current BLS via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Current ACLS certification via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is a plus.
- Current Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN®) is a plus.
Education, Training, and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Proven track record of leading and improving clinical quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in rehabilitation medicine.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to rehabilitation services.
