Salary Range:$113,315 - $179,688

*Final offer amounts are determined by a review of the candidate's applicable experience and qualifications, as well as internal employee equity considerations.

SCOPE:

Position will work in conjunction with, and by the direction of, the Director of Clinical or Nursing Services, if applicable, to provide nursing support for practice locations by consulting and advising clinicians on best-practices, implementation of/providing education and training programs, and collaborating on interdisciplinary projects. Provides oversight of nursing leadership and staff. Supports and adheres to The US Oncology Network Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight

• Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
• Oversee the clinical operation for all medical assistant's clinical support activities.
• Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives
• Collaborates with practice management to provide support on operational projects such as site Quality
• Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative site assessments, Advancing Care Information, the
• Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other special projects as assigned.
• Facilitates the implementation and/or utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices
• Facilitates implementation of standardized best practices within the organization.
• Ensures practice standards of care are consistent with community standards of care.
• Ensures the incorporation of clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standards.

Staff Development

• Assess staffing levels and issues, patient flow, current practices in the clinical setting.
• Assists with the development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs.
• Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics or region
• Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within
• budgetary parameters.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee
• staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
• Certification: Oncology certification preferred.
• Licensure: RN state license and currernt registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current CPR certification required.
• Experience: Minimum five years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three years oncology experience. Minimum three years of leadership experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
