Career Summary: The Nursing Professional Development Specialist assesses, designs, implements manages professional development products and content supporting American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) and its subsidiaries. Departmental priorities support credentialing and programmatic-related initiatives and products and are driven by the ANE strategic plan. Serves as the primary point for specific educational products and services. Collaborate with staff across the ANE to develop high-quality educational programs, products, and services.
What You Will Do:Assessment:- Systematically collects and analyzes educational and product data aligned with organizational priorities.
Diagnosis:- Analyzes assessment data to identify practice gaps and collaborates with stakeholders for validation.
- Prioritizes and analyzes practice gaps in alignment with organizational goals. Outcomes Identification:
- Identifies desired outcomes for education plans aligned with assessment and practice gap analysis.
- Defines and documents measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Planning:- Leads design processes to address practice gaps.
- Assesses communication needs of learners, applying adult learning concepts.
- Designs inclusive and culturally sensitive NPD activities.
- Establish collaborative plans for achieving outcomes.
- Plans for potential barriers at various levels of implementation.
Implementation:- Implement plans with judgment and innovative solutions.
- Engages learners in educational activities, evaluating strategy effectiveness.
Evaluation:- Creates processes for stakeholder involvement in evaluation.
- Utilizes valid methods to measure behavior change and impact.
- Uses evaluation results for research and process improvements.
Collaboration and Communication:- Demonstrates ethical decision-making and fosters effective working relationships.
- Collaborates across the enterprise to facilitate teamwork.
- Utilizes negotiation skills for collaborative partnerships and resource acquisition.
- Assesses and improves communication skills continuously.

What you bring to the American Nurses Enterprise:Education- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required
Certificates, licenses and registrations required: - NPD-BC or equivalent advanced certification or must be eligible or obtain certification within one year of employment
- Unencumbered RN license
Related Work Experience- 2 years of experience in nursing professional development or education.
Computer skills required:- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel with strong willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical platform concepts related to content delivery including learning management systems (LMS).
Other skills required:- Knowledge of distribution modes supporting content delivery, web accessible and mobile applications, LMS platforms with a global view of evolving customer needs.
- Experience in related duties with responsibility for educational content development/programming in health care, nursing continuing education programs, or consulting services. A minimum of 1 year of experience managing and leading a cross-functional project team to meet aggressive goals with high judgment applied on how products are prioritized and developed.
