The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:

GENERAL SUMMARY: Ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by overseeing the quality assurance and quality improvement processes within healthcare facility. Monitors, evaluates, and optimizes patient outcomes by implementing effective quality assurance and improvement initiatives. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for enhancement, develop strategies for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of interventions. Drives a culture of excellence, safety, and patient-centered care through data analysis, performance metrics tracking, and continuous evaluation.

FT position available (40 Hour), Primarily Days with some regional travel as needed.

The individual will join the Center for Nursing Policy, Safety, and Patient Outcomes team to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes. This role is accountable for monitoring patient outcomes and developing risk reduction strategies, leveraging professional judgment and experience to enhance evidence-based practice measures. The position involves working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams, utilizing meaningful data to develop practice and educational guidelines that improve patient care. Position includes working collaboratively with pharmacy to promote safe handling of controlled substances. Key responsibilities also include actively participating in maintaining continuous readiness for Joint Commission surveys, which encompasses understanding and applying National Performance Goals and other accreditation standards. The role assists in managing the Nursing NDNQI Database and facilitates Root Cause Analyses. Other duties as assigned that are supportive of patient care outcomes. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritize and work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including some leadership experience. Master's Degree required. Requirements: NYS RN License, master's degree plus 3-5 years nursing experience. Leadership and managerial experience preferred.
