Required Degree:
Applicants must have earned a minimum of a Master of Science (MS) in Nursing. A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is preferred, even if the applicant does not hold an MS degree.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse inICU nursing or 1 year of experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Experience teaching at the baccalaureate or graduate level is preferred.
Upon hire, a Utah license is required as either a Registered Nurse or an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Duties/Expectations:
This professional track faculty position will consist of approximately 70% teaching, 15% citizenship, and 15% scholarship. All teaching should reflect the Healer’s art, build faith in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, be pedagogically sound, and be based on up-to-date evidence in the nursing discipline.
Students are at the center of all we do. All College of Nursing faculty are expected to contribute significantly to an education that is spiritually strengthening, intellectually enlarging, and character building leading to lifelong learning and service by mentoring students outside of class in at least one of the following areas: teaching, citizenship, and/or scholarship.
