Full Job Description
This role is responsible for the overall performance of our Nursery Division, including plant procurement, inventory management, logistics, vendor partnerships, nursery operations, financial performance, and team leadership. The Nursery Division supports multiple landscape construction and maintenance operations across the Pacific Northwest, making this role essential to our ability to deliver projects successfully and efficiently.

What You'll Do
  • Provide leadership, direction, accountability, and coaching to managers, buyers, and operational team members.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team focused on execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish KPIs, scorecards, and performance expectations for direct reports.
  • Lead regular operational and financial review meetings to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Drive Procurement & Supply Chain Strategy
  • Oversee plant purchasing and sourcing strategies to ensure inventory is available at the right quality, quantity, and cost.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional and national suppliers.
  • Monitor supply trends, availability, pricing, and market conditions to proactively manage risk.
  • Partner with landscape operations teams to forecast demand and support project needs.
  • Lead inventory planning, forecasting, quality control, and inventory utilization efforts.
  • Ensure operational processes support efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee labor planning, facility operations, equipment management, and operational workflows.
  • Drive initiatives that improve productivity, inventory turns, and overall division performance.
  • Manage the division's profit and loss performance.
  • Oversee budgets, inventory investments, labor costs, and operational expenses.
  • Track and analyze key business metrics including margins, inventory value, purchasing performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop action plans to improve profitability and operational results.
  • Develop strategies that improve inventory utilization, procurement effectiveness, and operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen vendor partnerships and improve service to internal customers.

Required Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, procurement, inventory management, landscape operations, horticulture, distribution, supply chain management, or a related industry.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, managers, or multiple functional areas.
  • Demonstrated success managing business performance, budgets, or P&L accountability.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, logistics, forecasting, and vendor management.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, solve problems, and lead organizational change.
  • Commercial landscape industry experience or wholesale nursery or landscape supply experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field
