Full Job Description
What You Will Do:

  • Direct, oversee, and evaluate the work assignments of all ACCS CNA staff.
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion of nursing assessments and care plans for individuals residing at the program; work collaboratively with the Specialty Site Manager to ensure treatment plans thoroughly address the medical/clinical needs of all individuals served residing at the program.
  • Provide training and regular teaching to staff.
  • Attend pre-discharge meetings outside of the program (i.e., at Acute Hospitals, Respite Units, State Hospitals, etc.).
  • Review referral packets to determine appropriateness of referrals being made and engage with DMH/other care entities to create transition plans.
  • Work with the program RN to develop care plans to address any acute needs related to a new admission or individual in transition.
  • Supervise assigned staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training.
  • Make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions.
  • Resolve grievances and other personnel problems within position responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the assignment of tasks and help resolve technical and operational problems; evaluate the impact of solutions to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Provide effective direction, guidance, and leadership over staff for effective teamwork and motivation and foster the effective integration of efforts with system-wide initiatives.
  • Encourage and support diverse views and approaches, demonstrate Standards of Respect, and contribute to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, respect, tolerance, civility, and acceptance toward all employees, individuals, and visitors.
  • Integrate diversity into departmental objectives, such as hiring, promotions, training, vendor selections, etc.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate the use of quality improvement in daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, DPH (Department of Public Health), etc.; develop and maintain procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that the program complies with organization-established policies, quality assurance programs, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adequate equipment and supplies for the program.
  • Develop and maintain established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Comply with established organization and program policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Attend a variety of meetings, conferences, and trainings as required or directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current and maintained Registered Nurse License with the Department of Regulatory Agencies.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience managing adults diagnosed with co-occurring medical and mental health complexities.
  • 2 years' supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of CNA skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate directions to staff clearly and appropriately.
  • Proficient with MS Office, internet, and email systems.


Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
