Qualifications

• 5+ years of OR/Surgery experience in various specialties
• Previous RN experience in a hospital acute care setting within the last 3 years
• Experience in a coordinating role preferred
• Solid interpersonal and customer service skills
• Registered Nurse with active credentials, including Basic Life Support certification
• Membership in AORN and Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate specialty services including orthopedic, ophthalmology, neuro, and other surgical areas
• Serve as the Endovascular/Vascular Coordinator
• Perform duties as a circulating nurse or scrub person
• Establish and promote clinical standards for the surgery service
• Assist in staff education regarding AORN standards and patient care objectives
• Delegate responsibilities and make patient-centered decisions
• Build and maintain positive relationships with staff and physicians
