LCMC Health Physician Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established Urology practice in Marrero, Louisiana. This provider will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and support teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered urologic care in an outpatient setting.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly graduated APP who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while practicing within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Position Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and conduct physical examinations
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic urologic conditions under established protocols and collaborative agreements
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing results
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
  • Respond promptly to patient calls, messages, and clinical concerns
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Coordinate patient care and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and specialists
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings
  • Promote patient safety and adherence to infection prevention standards

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner Candidates
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
  • Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


Physician Assistant Candidates
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current Louisiana Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior urology, surgical, primary care, or specialty clinic experience preferred
