Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
  • Provide immediate post-operative care and wound management.
  • Counsel patients on pre- and post-operative instructions.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and another Nurse Practitioner.
  • Travel to satellite offices as needed and participate in shared on-call duties.

  • Previous experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, or a surgical specialty preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Operative Assessment and Preparation:
    • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
    • Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and post-operative care.
  • Surgical Assistance:
    • Assist surgeons during procedures
  • Post-Operative Care:
    • Provide immediate post-operative care and including wound management
  • Patient Management and Education:
    • Counsel patients on pre- and post-operative instructions
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work collaboratively with surgeons
    • Work collaboratively with another Nurse Practitioner.
  • Travel to Satellite Offices:
    • Periodic travel to our satellite offices
    • Be available for shared on-call duties during weekends and evenings as needed.
