Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position working 10-12 hour shifts with a rotating weekend/holiday schedule. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
  • Work with patients with acute and chronic illnesses, specifically hematologic conditions including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma in the inpatient setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive health history, physical assessment, and management of planned and unplanned inpatient hematology admissions.
  • Perform procedures required for disease evaluation and treatment such as Chemotherapy prescribing privileges, Bone marrow biopsies with/without conscious sedation, Lumbar puncture, and Intrathecal chemotherapy administration.

Education:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner:

Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner:

Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care.

If Physician Assistant:

Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
