Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients receiving antibiotic treatments.
  • Provide recommendations on antibiotic selection and treatment duration.
  • Investigate and evaluate recurrent or difficult-to-treat infections.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, primary care, and wound care teams to optimize patient care.
  • Document patient encounters in facility EMRs with provided training and support.

Now Hiring: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Infectious Disease

Salary: $150,000-$220,000 annually

This is an excellent opportunity for a provider interested in infectious disease and looking for clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, strong physician and administrative support, and the opportunity to help build a growing specialty program.
About the Role

Our providers deliver on-site infectious disease care to residents of skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.

You will evaluate and manage a wide range of infectious conditions while working closely with facility nursing teams, primary care providers, wound care teams, and administration.
Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site infectious disease consultations and follow-up visits
  • Evaluate and manage common and complex infections in the skilled nursing population
  • Review cultures, laboratory results, imaging, and antimicrobial therapy
  • Manage and monitor patients receiving antibiotic treatment
  • Provide recommendations regarding antibiotic selection, duration, and appropriate follow-up
  • Evaluate recurrent or difficult-to-treat infections
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, primary care providers, wound care teams, and facility leadership
  • Help reduce unnecessary hospital transfers through timely specialty evaluation and proactive management
  • Document in facility EMRs, with training and administrative support provided
