*Highland Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its Women's Health Office. A Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant would be qualified. Candidates for this office would work Monday - Friday, Days. No weekends or Holidays required. Candidates for this role may be asked to see patients @ any of the three HWH Offices which are located @ Highland Hospital, Culver Road and Ayrault Rd (Fairport).

Some duties include but are not limited to:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) assesses, promotes and contributes to the quality care provided to patients and their families/support systems throughout the hospital continuum. The APP provides clinical leadership through advanced practice role-modeling and professional communication. Specialization includes in-depth graduate study of relevant theories and scientific knowledge related to a select patient population which promotes the ability to analyze and refine practice. In collaboration with the health care team, the APP monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical expertise to improve patient care and patient outcomes.

Provides direction for patient care to complex patient populations. Identifies, analyzes and resolves patient care issues in an effort to meet the care needs of the patient in an ethical and culturally sensitive way. Drives new services as requested.

Promotes use of current, evidence-based practice necessary for the advancement of patient care.
Models excellence in practice through the use of advanced concepts in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of perceived, actual or potential problems that occur in patient care.

Functions as facilitator and innovator for state-of-the art care with direct involvement in implementing and evaluating new techniques and equipment for safety, cost-effectiveness, and benefits related to clinical practice.

Salary Range:
$98,000.00 - $130,083.20 annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements

  1. Education: Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed NP or PA in NYS
  2. Experience: 3 to 5 years of clinical experience. Prefer specialization as a Women's Health NP or previous practice within an ambulatory Women's Health or OB/GYN setting.
  3. License/Certification Required: Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
  4. Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Effective teaching skills. Proficient, efficient and safe independent clinical practice capability. Competent computer skills (MS Office software, keyboarding).
