Full Job Description
Summary Under general supervision, performs advanced nursing functions and healthcare services in specialized areas. Operates under a written nurse protocol agreement with their delegating physician, conducts complete physicals, provides treatment, and counsels clients. May prescribe medication in some cases. Responsibilities • Provide direct clinical care to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and dual diagnosis, to include assessment, on-going psychiatric treatment, medication management, and education to individuals regarding diagnosis and medications prescribed. • Evaluate individuals for appropriate level of care, to include involuntary commitment, as well as review of treatment plans and participation in clinical staffing. • Evaluate individuals for appropriate level of care, to include involuntary commitment, as well as review of treatment plans and participation in clinical staffing. • Provide medical/clinical services and supervision in specialty program as assigned.
