Responsibilities

  • Handle non-emergency nursing calls to support patient care independently.
  • Conduct Health and Physical evaluations as needed for non-teaching service patients.
  • Prepare discharge plans for non-teaching service patients.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of patients' physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs.
  • Plan and implement interventions tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make timely adjustments when necessary.
  • Ensure the provision of safe and effective patient care.

What You'll Do

In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently handles non-emergency nursing calls to facilitate patient care for non-teaching service patients, performs H&P evaluations as needed and Discharge plan preparation for non-teaching service patients. Performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.

Requirements

  • Current Missouri Advanced Practice Nurse licensure as a Nurse Practitioner according to MO State Board of Nursing.

  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.

  • May be required to work irregular hours.
