Job Description UNC Health Blue Ridge is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Blue Ridge Cancer Center

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Licensure Requirements
- Completion of an accredited graduate -level Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) program.
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina or eligible.
- Board certification if required by the Department
Professional Experience Requirements:
- At least 3+ year as a NP is preferred.- Willing to train new grads
- Prefer candidates with past experience in Hematology and or oncology setting
Job duties and expectations:
- See a variety of hematology and oncology patients, including managing a benign hematology caseload
- See pretreat patients prior to chemotherapy treatments
- Complete all chemo education with patients prior to new or changing treatments
- Support the medical oncologist to see any patients that are having symptoms or concerns
- Review patient labs and test results to approve treatments

- Demonstrated clinical competency.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
- Effective interaction and care of patients
- Documentation of medical records for accurate billing
