Job Summary:The Nurse Practitioner functions as a collaborative member of the health care team in the delivery of comprehensive health and health maintenance to patients in ambulatory settings. The Nurse Practitioner provides outpatient comprehensive primary care service including preventive and health maintenance services, acute and chronic care, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Qualifications:Education:- Applicants who graduated on or after October 1, 1998, must have completed requirements for a Master's degree or post-Master's degree certification.
- Applicants who graduated prior to October 1, 1998, are exempt from above requirement.
- Graduates from either a certificate or currently closed program should submit supporting documentation that demonstrates program compliance with Board guidelines.
Experience: - Three to five years of experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure: - Current certificate issued by ANCC and/or or AANP or eligible.
- Active Florida license required.
- DEA license preferred.
- BLS certification required.
Other requirements:- Commitment and ability to keep up to date with scientific and technological developments/literature.
- Able to work flexible hours as assigned.
- Able to work at other CHC locations as assigned.
