What You'll Do
  • Performing physical exams and patient observations
  • Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms
  • Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones
  • Ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests
  • Diagnosing health issues
  • Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed
  • Educating patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury
  • Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of the patients

What We're Looking For
  • Master's degree from an accredited nursing program
  • APN authorization in Ohio to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Prescriptive authorization
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and information systems
  • A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of disease processes and prevention
