What You'll Do- Perform physical exams and patient observations
- Record patients' medical histories and symptoms
- Create patient care plans and contributing to existing ones
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests
- Diagnose health issues
- Detect changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed
- Educate patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury
- Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of the patients
What We're Looking For- Master's degree from an accredited nursing program
- APN authorization in Ohio to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
- Prescriptive authorization
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and information systems
- A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of disease processes and prevention
