Nurse Practitioner!

Qualifications
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Wound Care Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in wound care and nursing.
  • Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and facility staff.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • BLS certified.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Reliable transportation with current auto liability insurance.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must have the ability to relate positively with patients and staff.
  • Excellent organization & multi-tasking skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrate good written documentation and computer competency.

Responsibilities
  • Administer wound care to ill, injured, or disabled patients.
  • Bedside debridement (Sharp debridement experience required).
  • Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior to overseeing provider and administrative staff.
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care and treat accordingly.
  • Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records.
  • Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
  • Participates in continued education and staff in-service trainings.
  • Uses preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
  • Complies with Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
  • Follow Infection Control policies in and out of the care setting.
  • Participates in quality improvement programs.
