Job Category:Nursing Organization:Transplant and HLA Location/s:Main Campus Jackson Job Title:Nurse Manager-Transplant Job Summary:To provide leadership and management to all nursing, personnel and ancillary personnel within an assigned area or units in a clinical setting. Manages all clinical functions and operations of the assigned area or units. Ensures efficient and effective delivery of clinical patient care and services and ensures compliance with administrative, regulatory and clinical policies and procedure. To perform job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in nursing and five (5) years of RN experience, two (2) of those years in a leadership role. Prefer clinical experience in area to be supervised/managed. Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Valid RN license. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities -Knowledge and understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures. -Verbal and written communication skills. -Interpersonal skills. -Detail oriented. -Analytical and conceptual skills. -Leadership and management skills. -Project management skills including the ability to effectively manage resources. Responsibilities - Manages and directs the operations and delivery of patient care within the budgetary, staffing and regulatory guidelines, using evidence based practice. - Ensures that personnel demonstrate quality standards of customer satisfaction and patient care. - Manages nursing and ancillary personnel within an assigned area or unit by coaching, educating, consulting, training and evaluating their performance. - Plans, schedules and organizes the work of the assigned area or unit to ensure the proper distribution of assignments and efficient utilization of clinical personnel, space and facilities. - Participates in planning, preparing, and prioritizing of budgets for assigned areas of responsibility.
