The Nursing Manager oversees nursing and Behavioral Health Tech staff, ensures high-quality patient care, manages administrative tasks, and serves as a bridge between clinical teams and hospital administration.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Management: Hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating nursing and BHT staff; assigning workloads and delegating tasks to ensure efficient patient care flow.
- Patient Care Oversight: Ensuring delivery of high-quality care, consulting on treatment plans, and occasionally providing direct patient care in critical situations.
- Administrative Duties: Managing budgets, scheduling, maintaining patient records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Policy Implementation: Developing and enforcing nursing and BHT standards, protocols, and procedures to maintain best practices.
- Communication: Acting as a liaison between nursing staff, doctors, patients, families, and senior management; addressing complaints and resolving conflicts.

Qualifications Education : Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required, or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience : A minimum of three (3) years' experience in Nursing Administration and/or a dedicated Leadership role in Psychiatric Nursing is preferred.
Licensure : Must be c urrently licensed to practice in AZ by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification upon hire, and successful completion of training in Handle with Care within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
