Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $90,000-110,000 annually, set in good faith based on the responsibilities of the role, qualifications, and market conditions.

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager leads a team of dedicated RN's, LPN's and Medication Aides in a residential substance use disorder treatment setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning, priority setting, and the development/implementation of policies and procedures for health care activities that comply with facility and contractual requirements as well as State, DEA, and CARF standards.
  • Support the development, provision, and evaluation of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice in the state of Virginia.
  • Support recruitment/retention efforts for nursing service.
  • Prepare/submit reports as requested.
  • On-going chart reviews to ensure compliance with Federal/State/regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training, consultation and direction in dealing with difficult clients.
  • Participation/leadership in treatment team meetings as well as grievance and appeals meeting.
  • Participate in ongoing training per program/State/Federal requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing in-house training requirements.
  • Provides education and training to new hires and current staff.
  • Acts as a facilitator of standard nursing practices.
  • Perform rounds, standard nursing evaluation tests such as blood pressures, temperatures, drawing blood for laboratory testing; assesses conditions; dispenses medication as needed.
  • Provides input into the daily and annual operations of the nursing department.
  • Monitors nursing operations measures monthly.
  • Perform other functions related to the position as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education / Credentials

  • Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Virginia.

Experience

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in an inpatient/residential substance use disorder treatment setting preferred.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Supervisory skills required.
  • Leadership skills in decision making and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of CARF accreditation requirements.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of holistic addiction treatment clinical care requirements.
  • Ability to develop and implement holistic clinical program for patients with substance use disorder.
  • Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.

Working Conditions

  • Direct care position
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Tuesday-Friday 9:00am-7:00pm, some weekends, holidays and on-call work required
