Job DescriptionProvidence Centralia Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate nursing leader to serve as
Manager, Family Birth Center. This position provides operational, clinical, educational, and personnel leadership for a community-based Family Birth Center supporting approximately
650 deliveries annually.
Reporting to the Director of Women & Children's Services, the Manager oversees Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP), newborn care, obstetric surgical services, and obstetric triage functions while also serving as the department's educator and competency leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 leadership for Family Birth Center operations.
- Lead staffing, patient flow, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as department educator, overseeing orientation, competencies, and staff development.
- Partner with physicians, certified nurse midwives, pediatric providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional maternal and newborn care.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and caregiver engagement.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or current enrollment in a BSN program.
- Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years of Acute care professional experience (within the last 7 years).
Preferred qualifications- NRP certification upon hire
- Minimum five years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Previous leadership experience preferred

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
