Job Description

Providence Centralia Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate nursing leader to serve as Manager, Family Birth Center. This position provides operational, clinical, educational, and personnel leadership for a community-based Family Birth Center supporting approximately 650 deliveries annually.

Reporting to the Director of Women & Children's Services, the Manager oversees Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP), newborn care, obstetric surgical services, and obstetric triage functions while also serving as the department's educator and competency leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 leadership for Family Birth Center operations.
  • Lead staffing, patient flow, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as department educator, overseeing orientation, competencies, and staff development.
  • Partner with physicians, certified nurse midwives, pediatric providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional maternal and newborn care.
  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and caregiver engagement.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or current enrollment in a BSN program.
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 3 years of Acute care professional experience (within the last 7 years).

Preferred qualifications
  • NRP certification upon hire
  • Minimum five years of Labor & Delivery experience
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
