Full Job Description
Join the Emergency Department at Northwest Hospital, where our 55-bed unit provides high-quality care to more than 49,000 patients annually. We are a primary stroke center and cardiac referral center. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse leader to oversee daily operations, support a collaborative team, and drive excellence in patient care.

Our leadership team consists of (2) Assistant Nurse Managers, Reporting to the Director, a Lead Emergency Room Technician and (2) Educators. The manger will oversee approximately 98 FTEs.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate 24/7 Emergency Department operations.

Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Monitor quality, safety, staffing, and financial performance.

Implement evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives.

Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Experience in leading change management and process improvement.

Experience with lean principles.

Strong working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligibility to obtain one).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

3-5 years of nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership skills preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.

Pay Range: $46.79 to $72.52 Based On Experience
