Position Summary
The Nurse Manager, Infusion Center provides leadership, operational oversight, and clinical support for multiple outpatient infusion centers. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations across three infusion locations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting staff development, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction.

The Nurse Manager leads a team of registered nurses and collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and administrative teams to optimize workflows and maintain excellence in outpatient infusion services. This leader will oversee care for a diverse patient population representing multiple specialties and will serve as a key resource for clinical operations, staffing, quality initiatives, and patient experience.

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday. No weekends or holidays required.
Work Environment: Primarily onsite role providing direct patient care and staff support across multiple clinical locations:
• Barnes-Jewish Hospital-West County
• Village Square - North County
• Center for Advanced Medicine - South County

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinates patient services with physicians and staff to provide quality care in effective manner, conducting rounds to ensure quality of patient care delivery.
• Reviews, assists and promotes the development of policies and procedures in compliance with medical school, state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Assists in preparation and control of department operational budget; monitors supplies/equipment ordering/repairing as required to ensure the quality of care and operational standard are maintained.
• Directs, assigns and coordinates activities/duties of staff, evaluating performance orienting new staff and advising administration of conditions; coordinates and ensures completion of staff continuing education, in-service and quality improvement activities, staff programs and meetings.
• Provides direct patient care, including development of patient care plans, administering medication, vitals, phlebotomy, monitoring IV therapies and maintaining records in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Promotes/maintains good public relations with patients and families, acting as liaison between other departments.
• Acts as troubleshooter, contact person, counselor and interviewer in patient care research projects, maintaining appropriate records.

B.S.N. - Bachelor Of Science In Nursing

Required Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri or Illinois.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous nursing leadership or management
• Infusion nursing experience strongly
• Critical care nursing experience highly
• Extensive IV therapy and vascular access experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive quality patient outcomes

Salary Range
$81,600.00 - $146,800.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
