Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hour days 8am-4:30pm
Provides professional development assessments, solutions, and evaluations for clinical staff in the Pediatric specialty at Johns Hopkins. In this role, the individual will do educational onboarding across multiple medicine units, will conduct annual competencies, skills days, and nursing initiates, as well as with policy development and oversight, and collaborating with the other Nursing Professional Development Specialists. Conducts and disseminates evidence-based best practices across the hospitals to enhance patient and family-centered care. Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates educational programs using adult learning principles to foster continuous professional development and excellence in practice.
Qualifications - MSN required - applicants who have matriculated into an MSN progam may be considered
- Minimum of 5 years' recent acute pediatric nursing experience required
- MD or compact RN license required at time of hire
- CPR certification required
Salary Range: Minimum $/visit - Maximum $/visit. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
