Position Summary As the NC4 working on the GTU, you will function in an advanced clinical role, giving expert direct and indirect nursing care to elderly patients who have complex mixes of psychiatric, medical, and nursing needs. You will participate as a member of the GTU multidisciplinary team, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Additionally, you will consult with nursing staff and staff from other disciplines at MMHI in planning and evaluating care for older adults with psychiatric needs.
In addition, you will identify, develop, and implement plans to meet the learning needs of staff, students, families, and community agencies related to mental health issues for older adults.
Salary Information The starting pay is between $56.65 and $58.23 per hour based on years of licensure (approximately between $117,800 and $121,100 per year), plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.
- *Pay includes a *1.00 /hour add-on for hours worked and performing direct care.
- $1.40 /hour differential for 1 st shift RNs that work hours between 6pm and 6am.
- $3.90 /hour differential for permanent 2 nd or 3 rd shift RNs for work hours between 6pm to 6am.
- 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as a Nurse Clinician 4 and is in pay schedule and range 11/01.

Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services . Eligible is defined as you currently hold a license in another state and are eligible to obtain a license in the State of Wisconsin. You must obtain licensure by the time of appointment.
- Experience working as an RN providing direct care to geriatric, adult, or adolescent patients.
Well-qualified applicants will also have:
- Experience working as a registered nurse with a geriatric population in a hospital, inpatient psychiatric or secure facility.
- Experience working with a memory care population in a nursing home, hospital, or other 24/7 care facility.
- Experience directing interventions during medical treatment or psychiatric crisis.
- Leadership coursework or experience working in a nurse leadership role (e.g., Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Nurse Educator, or similar leadership role) performing duties such as providing coaching, training or guidance to nursing staff.
