Job SummaryProvide day-to-day support in a specialty pediatric area. Assist providers with procedures, rooming and triage of patients, basic point of care testing, and patient education. Monitoring supply inventories including ordering medical supplies and medications. Phone triage as necessary. Front desk duties include check in and out and scheduling as needed.
Responsibilities- Collect and document vitals and chief complaint.
- Obtain current medications.
- POC Testing in clinic.
- Assist with basic procedures in clinic.
- Stock and clean rooms.
- Obtain medical records/results as needed.
- Supply and inventory management.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Check in/check out process.
- Sign patients up for MyChart.
- Collect copayments.
- Obtain referrals if needed.
- Applies logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Has a solid understanding of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
Work Experience:Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Certifications:---Preferred QualificationsEducation: - Bachelor of Science in nursing.
Experience: - Nursing experience.
- Ambulatory care setting strongly preferred.
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: - Current licensure as registered nurse in the State of Illinois.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
