Responsibilities

  • Promote Atlas Core Values and support Behavior-Based Safety initiatives.
  • Serve as Project Quality Manager implementing QA program per ASME NQA-1 and ISO-17025.
  • Independently report on project quality activities to the Nuclear Program Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Verify and document compliance with project quality plans and specifications.
  • Plan and conduct independent field QA surveillance and inspections according to standards.
  • Coordinate QA activities and results with the Project Manager and Concrete Quality Technical Manager.
  • Manage nonconformances, including corrective and preventive actions, ensuring proper documentation.

Core Responsibilities
  • Promote Atlas Core Values and support Behavior-Based Safety while ensure a safe work environment.
  • Serve as Project Quality Manager implementing the project quality program in accordance with ASME NQA-1 and ISO-17025.
  • Independently report project quality activities and compliance to the Nuclear Program Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Verify, document, and report compliance with project quality plans, procedures, and specifications.
  • Plan, perform and document independent field QA surveillance, testing, and inspections in accordance with ASTM/ACI/AASHTO standards.
  • Coordinate QA activities, support, and results with the Project Manager and Concrete Quality Technical Manager.
  • Control, document, and verify nonconforming work, including corrective and preventive actions (NCR/CPAR).
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee project-specific QA plans, procedures, audits, surveillances, and assessments.
  • Manage QA documentation, records, document control, and retention in accordance with NQA-1 requirements.
  • Evaluate, qualify, audit, and surveil suppliers and subcontractors and ensure procurement QA requirements are met.
  • Ensure personnel training, indoctrination, qualification, and maintenance of qualification records per NQA-1.
  • Interface with project management, engineering, and clients to provide QA reports, metrics, risk assessments, and support quality issue resolution while working outdoors and supporting variable shift schedules.

You'll thrive here if you have
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field is desired, but not required; OHSA 10 certification required during onboarding.
  • 5 or more years of relevant industry experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments; 10+ years preferred.
  • Must be US citizen; Dual citizenship is not allowable by client.
  • English proficiency for clear written and verbal communication, including inspection reports.
  • Familiarity with concrete testing (CMT) and ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, and NRMCA standards.
  • Knowledge of ASME NQA-1, ISO 17025, and DOE/NRC nuclear regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, work outdoors, and support shift rotations.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a drug test.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and solid math skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF editing with general computer skills.
