Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary: Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for the performance of the full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances. Responsible for the provision of quality patient care, including the timely throughput of patients and the performance of their exams. Operates and performs quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment including, gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices and ancillary equipment. Requirements include working On-Call and working rotating shifts . Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA.
External candidates hired into the Full-Time, Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Job Code 009004) are eligible for a $10,000.00 sign-on bonus. Payment terms are $5,000.00 paid to active employee upon hire and $5,000.00 at 6 months of employment. All potential recipients cannot have been employed within the UC System for the past 12 months in order to qualify.
