  • Involve in Total Quality Management (TQM) processes and offer process improvement solutions

Full Job Description
Under the direction of a qualified physician, directs and supervises all technical aspects of nuclear medicine exams for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Performs QA/QC procedures when necessary. Helps in other areas of the department when necessary.

  • Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating nuc med equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions.
  • Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
  • Assist in or administer radiation to the patient; operate scanning devices; perform laboratory tests on body specimens; dispose of radioactive waste and store radiopharmaceutical waste safely.
  • Calibrate equipment; and control inventory.
  • Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
  • Responsible for proper use of Radiology Information System.
  • Understands and uses CR/PACS systems. Shall be actively involved in the TQM process and present creative solutions to processes.
  • Maintains necessary continuing education requirements for license.
  • Demonstrates professional practice and conduct at all times.
  • Teamwork: Establishes clear objectives and goals for work team.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:
