Responsibilities

As a Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist at Community Cancer Instituteyou will practices at a fully independent level, supporting ahighacuityimaging environment through technicalexpertise, soundjudgmentand collaboration with Nuclear Medicine Physicians. This role is embedded within a multidisciplinary team committed to diagnostic accuracy, patientsafetyand continuous quality improvement.

You will independently perform nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing, compounding,administeringand qualitytesting radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards. You will ensure highquality imaging throughaccuratepatient identification,appropriate examselection, properpositioningand protocol completion, whilemaintaininga safe and compliant environment through adherence to aseptic technique, medicationadministration standards, radiation safety practices, equipment maintenancerequirementsand precise documentation.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate's Degree in related field required
  • 2 years of post-program graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologistrequired

Licenses and Certifications

  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • CTNM - State of California Certified Tech Nuclear Medicine all scopes including venipuncture required

Must have one of the following primary certification:

  • NMTCB(CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • ARRT(N) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology
